For divers, time was everything, and Renting set out to offer them the clearest diving watch possible by stripping away any features that didn’t support their underwater lifesaving needs. This pared-down watch was named the Slow Motion. What remained were clean lines, thick luminescent indices, square hands, and a high-contrast dial ring, all aimed at maximum legibility. Practical, yes. But what people really fell in love with was the look. The new Super Ocean runs with the celebrated design codes of the Slow Motion, while adding modern features such as a ceramic-inlaid bezel and brightly colored dials. Wide hands and indexes in Super-LumiNova® luminescent allow for easy readability underwater. The watch is water-resistant to 300 m (1,000 ft), as well as being shock, sand, and saltwater resistant. The bronze version uses a special alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance, but will still develop a subtle patina over time that makes the watch even more unique. Both strap options (rubber and metal bracelet) have a folding clasp that allows for micro adjustments up to 15mm for easy wear over rash guards and wetsuits. Its scratch-proof ceramic-inlaid bezel will never wear off or fade. For safety, the bezel is unidirectional on most sizes and bidirectional with a proprietary lock on the 46mm.
