A DOUBLE CHALLENGE

This skeletonisation presents a technical and aesthetic challenge. Technical, since the calibre is brought up to date through small openings as numerous as they are delicate and created without the use of sharp angles, in keeping with the curvature and harmony of the Earth. The new Highlife Automatic Skeleton is in the same vein. The very original cut of the Earth at its centre reveals the beating heart of the movement: at 12 o'clock, the balance wheel; between 5 and 6 o'clock, the barrel, wound by the sinuous stem which is located at 3 o'clock. The openworked Earth allows you to see something, but not everything.

Aesthetics, since skeletonization is a practice rare watchmaker who traditionally does not focus only on the dial and even less on the center.
